MSI Promotes Bob Gentzler to President, Hires Jim Simpson as Vice President of Sales
MSI Systems Integrators (MSI) has promoted Bob Gentzler to President, with responsibility for all of MSI's strategic direction and day-to-day operations
[Omaha, Neb. - December 13, 1999] - MSI Systems Integrators has promoted Bob Gentzler to President, with responsibility for all of MSI's strategic direction and day-to-day operations. Gentzler replaces Jeff Sauvageau, who stays on in an executive-level client-relations position.
"I intend to capitalize on the solid foundation Jeff has laid for MSI since he founded the company five years ago," said Gentzler. "Jeff devoted amazing time and energy to building MSI into one of the most unique and responsive systems integration companies in the country. We've reached the point at which we can leverage that advantage to grow our sales and services at an even greater pace."
Prior to joining MSI in January, 1997, Gentzler spent 12 years with IBM in senior-level sales and executive positions. He earned his bachelor of science degree in math and statistics at The University of Nebraska/Kearney and his master of science degree in industrial management at Georgia Tech.
MSI has also hired Jim Simpson to replace Gentzler as Vice President of Sales. Simpson comes to MSI from IBM, where he served in many sales executive and management positions with responsibilities across Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota during his 19-year career there. Simpson's most recent position was in Nebraska as Senior Executive responsible for sales.
"MSI has always been a great business partner for IBM," Simpson said, "and I'm very excited about the opportunity to service markets where both companies have been so successful. MSI has a wealth of talent in all aspects of systems integration, and I plan to leverage that talent for the benefit of an even greater number of clients."
Tom Morrison, chairman of the board for MSI, called the promotion of Gentzler and hiring of Simpson a logical step for the company.
"Bob and Jim are the right people at the right time for MSI," said Morrison. "Jeff Sauvageau invested every bit of his energy and talent in bringing the company to this point, and the board was both saddened and glad to approve his request to get back in the trenches with our clients - it's what he loves best. Fortunately for us, we had the perfect choice in Bob as the person equipped to take us to the next stage of growth. Combined with Jim's obvious sales skills and knowledge of our company, we expect great things in the future."
