Iowa-Operations of Integrated Network Solutions Inc. Assumed by MSI Systems Integrators
MSI Systems Integrators (MSI) today announced it has signed a letter of intent to assume portions of the systems, networks, consulting and system integration services operations of Integrated Network Solutions, Inc
[Omaha, NE and Cedar Rapids, IA - July 31, 2000] - Midland Systems, Inc. d/b/a MSI Systems Integrators (MSI), an e-business and infrastructure integration company, today announced it has signed a letter of intent to assume portions of the systems, networks, consulting and system integration services operations of Integrated Network Solutions, Inc. (INS). Integrated Network Solutions is a technology integration provider, specializing in the design, development and integration of sophisticated information systems. The letter of intent, which is subject to certain conditions and third party consents, provides for MSI's employment of certain INS employees and the assumption by MSI of certain clients of INS' Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities and Minneapolis locations.
INS' server and internetworking organizations fit very neatly with and will be integrated into MSI's existing operations. All other INS operations will continue to do business as a separate business division of MSI under the name Integrated Network Solutions.
The proposed assumption of INS' operations will enhance MSI's ability to provide end-to-end technology solutions, including e-business and infrastructure integration that make clients more efficient, productive and profitable. Acquiring a staff of knowledgeable employees and gaining access to the eastern Iowa market will significantly augment MSI's ability to achieve its aggressive long-term growth goals. MSI will gain more than 35 new employees with extensive voice/data integration experience. INS currently operates a Network Operations Center that monitors clients' networks to maximize performance and availability.
"The proposed transaction is a win-win solution for both INS and MSI. Integrated Network Solutions shares our consultative and partnership approach to doing the right thing for the client. It has similar and complementary skill sets, and together with MSI make up a more substantial, more dynamic, local technology resource to Midwestern-based corporations," said Tom Morrison, CEO of MSI.
"The Internet is requiring companies to rapidly adapt to change. Midwestern company leaders recognize that a capable, comprehensive local technology resource can help them adapt and stay competitive. The proposed transaction with INS underscores MSI's ability to provide the comprehensive technology leadership and expertise to help our clients compete and win in this new economy," said Bob Gentzler, president of MSI.
