[St. Louis - March 31, 2005] - MSI Systems Integrators, the first IBM Business Partners in the Americas open multiple certified Business Partner Innovation Centers ™, will open its fifth Technology Enablement Center ™ (TEC) April 14th in St. Louis. Packed with the latest in on demand technologies, the TEC's 280 sq. ft. of space will include BladeCenter, all eServer brands, Storage, all Software Power Brands, Networking, Linux, and ISV software.
"Corporate executives are always looking for ways to reduce their risk in regards to IT spending," said Jim Simpson, MSI president and CEO. "Our TECs are built so that organizations can see our solutions in action by viewing and testing the latest IT solutions in a customized, try-before-you-buy environment."
Each TEC is comprised of individual solution labs that contain hardware and software technologies from IBM, Cisco, McDATA and other industry leaders. The TEC's data center power, monitoring, and environmental equipment provide the 'plug and play' environment necessary for IT individuals to determine what is best for their organization's current or planned IT infrastructure. The TEC is designed for education, demonstration, and proof-of-concept projects in a laboratory setting.
"Our partnerships with industry leaders like IBM, Veritas, VMware, Microsoft, and Cisco, coupled with our top level technical skills enable us to offer innovative, enterprise-wide solutions," said Steve Grigone, vice president of sales - St. Louis/Illinois Region. "With the opening of the TEC, St. Louis companies can now have hands-on experience with our IT solutions."
MSI currently has four TECs located in Omaha, Neb., Bloomington, Minn., Overland Park, Kan., and West Des Moines, Iowa. Since the opening of the first Technology Enablement Center in 2000 in Omaha, MSI has hosted more than 500 briefings with a customer satisfaction rating of 84%. With the addition of the Bloomington, Overland Park, and West Des Moines centers, MSI added the additional capability to demonstrate the replication of data over long distances for companies facing rapid data growth, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuance issues.
Official ribbon cutting ceremonies for the St. Louis TEC will begin at 3:00 p.m. on April 14, 2005 at the MSI Systems Integrators St. Louis office, located 101 South Hanley, Suite 575, in Downtown Clayton, Mo.
