MSI Systems Integrators Brings Technology Enablement Center ™ to Seattle
Grand Opening Event to Include Keynotes from Symantec and IBM
[Seattle, Wash. - February 28, 2007] - MSI Systems Integrators (MSI), a leading comprehensive solution provider of hardware, software and services, will open its ninth Technology Enablement Center™ (TEC) Monday, March 5 in Seattle. Packed with the latest technologies, the TEC's 364 sq. ft of space will include a ProtectionCenter, featuring Symantec security products, networking, middleware, storage and server offerings.
Each TEC is comprised of individual technology solution labs that contain hardware and software from Symantec, IBM, Citrix, Microsoft, Network Appliance and other industry leaders. A key offering in the Seattle TEC is the ProtectionCenter, designed to provide companies with the opportunity to experience real-world security solutions, identify potential improvements in security performance and learn how IT environments can best be protected.
"Companies today are looking for ways to meet the challenges of doing business and managing security, while still reducing risk, cost and cycle time for IT project implementations," said Jim Simpson, MSI president and CEO. "Our TECs are built so that organizations can view and experience the latest technologies in an informal, hands-on environment."
The TEC is designed for education, demonstration, and proof-of-concept IT projects in a laboratory setting. The TEC facility, products and tools provide the 'plug and play' environment necessary for IT professionals to determine what is best for their organization's current or planned IT infrastructure.
The official grand opening event for the Seattle TEC will begin at 8:15 a.m. with registration and breakfast. The event will kickoff at 9 a.m. with a keynote from John W. Thompson, chairman and CEO of Symantec Corporation, titled Today's Business Imperative: Ensuring Customer Confidence. Attendees can visit with business solution experts from MSI and Symantec after the presentation and take tours of the new TEC facility in the MSI office. The afternoon session will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a keynote from IBM's Wirt M. Cook, vice president of the Americas West IBM region, titled Innovation for Better Business. Solution experts and TEC tours will also be available in the afternoon. The keynote presentations will take place at ACT Theatre, Kreielsheimer Place, 700 Union Street, Seattle, Wash. TEC tours will take place at the MSI offices, Two Union Square, 601 Union Street, Suite 3333, Seattle, Wash.
